Two Poems

BY Henry Kneiszel

its my furby and i’ll cry if i want to

Come over bro,
We’re all at Dave’s house, getting sad about Laika the soviet space dog

Her handlers put her on a course they knew would end in fiery death
And now our handlers have done the same to us

Come out back when you get here
We’re in the yard. Looking at the moon, holding each other and weeping
Dave is clutching the grass with white knuckled fingers
The gate should be unlocked

I Know it's all in Good Fun but if the events in The Weather Girls Iconic Single Raining Men
Actually Happened it Would be a National Tragedy

I’m sorry but we have enough.

Supply is not the root issue.

Not to mention the strain on infrastructure

Our IPA distribution network is simply not ready for such an event

But these are the sort of extreme weather conditions that will become increasingly normalized as climate
change continues to worsen..

Call your senator today and tell them: no coal, no oil, no more men.

It’s time to act.
